Roses Are Forever
The festival theme for 2011 is 'Roses Are Forever'. Roses are symbolic of love, romance and affection. The symbolism of love, highlights the love of Malaysians for God, our country, culture, heritage and history. As a nation, love is celebrated amongst the diverse multi-cultural residents of this beautiful land and resonates in the vision of our beloved Prime Minister – '1 Malaysia'. The love of nature and all things of beauty will be portrayed in the intricate and creative displays at FLORIA 2011.
Why roses?
With the selection of the rose as the theme flower, Putrajaya FLORIA 2011 will be filled with warmth, beauty and fragrance that is associated with this flower. Furthermore :
Once again, Putrajaya FLORIA 2011 is set to awe and inspire the visitor.
Beautiful gardens, a floral carpet in a multitude of coloured flowers, floral arches, alleys and avenues, a feast of beauty and colour as far as the eye can see, are just some of the exciting things that a visitor can expect to experience this year.
More than 200 daily activities, entertainment, edutainment, workshops, demonstrations and plantation will be held during the nine days of FLORIA 2011. Some of the activities include the Battle of the Bands, Brass Band, Floral Parades and fireworks display.
Nature Photography and Watercolour Competitions will also be organised in conjunction with the festival (2 categories, adult and children).
There will gardens, floral arrangement and other competitions for the participants of Putrajaya FLORIA 2011.
